Perfect Smile (I want your love)

I was visiting friends in Perth, Western Australia a few years ago and i stayed there for a few months and often wandered around the city and it’s beaches. After a long time living in the dull streets of England it was a great experience to be in a spacious place with sunshine and beautiful sunsets everyday.

It was my first experience to witness an asian culture as there were many asian students in Perth and i was struck by their beauty and fun loving smiles, it was a far cry from seeing the  miserable faces back in the UK. I’ve always had an affinity for exotic faces and I often draw portraits with oriental eyes. This song, I guess was a response to that experience and also a plea for world peace, metaphorically speaking.

About the recording
On my return to Perth a year later, I decided to buy some time in a local recording studio. So I found a small place ‘Kitchen Cooked Records’. I could ony afford about 5 hours time so I quickly sketched the song out and recorded and mixed it there an then taking away the demo in hand.
