About Me
Born in the sixties my mother is english and my natural father was irish. Now I can quite confidentally say that the irish part of me is where the music and poetry comes from. Really… a lot of irish music is written of sorrow and until I discovered this fact, I didnt realise that most of my songs were all so sorrowful. Saying that, I have never looked too deep into that story, maybe that will be explored at a later date, all you need to know is that I was born in the boomtown of Coventry, England and unfortunately stayed there…kind of marooned….lost and confused and for most part in a drunken haze.
Dont be discouraged, it’s a great challenge to be led throught the beer culture of the english way of life, when you have lived in the lively suburbs of a big thriving city….only to discover later in life that you ought to unlearn all that you accepted into your brain while you were merrily distracted.

I’m not a lazy person and Im not short of imagination, over the years I have experienced a lot. I learned to play guitar at 19 and played as a bass player in local rocknroll bands for many years. I even fronted my own band ‘Those Cucumber Shades’ which although was a magic experience, singing at that time wasn’t my forte but I believe songwriting and composing was. My passion in the 80’s and 90’s was home recording and tunes came and went within our circle of friends for many many years.
Those times soon passed and life changes, there came a time i gave up everything to pursue a different life style…one that had me fighting to gain control over what I wanted to do, opposed to what I should be doing to maintain a normal life. It took me a long time to learn how to generate my own income and to be my own boss. All thoughts and dreams of becoming a professional songwriter/musician went out of the door and lately just as I thought I gained some kind of financial freedom I fall victim to a cruel fraud and find myself on the bottom line once again. I still reserve my dream of freedom out of the lousy ’system’ to this day.
I have travelled afar and gained insight into few cultures. Most recently I have lived a short time in China and Malaysia. Teaching English in China was a great experience… also being broke in Malaysia and becoming stranded and penniless. I am now back in the UK with a plan to return to Asia sometime before the world changes of 2012 begin.
